Washington State Marriage Laws

If you're wanting to elope in the Evergreen State, here are some things you might want to know!

An officiant & two witnesses over 12 are required to sign the marriage license. (Oh, hey there! Did you know I am ordained?).

Fees for your marriage license range from $36-$72
depending on the county.

There is a 3 day waiting period after you pay for the license.

The license is valid for 60 days

Oregon State Marriage Laws

Now, if you're looking to elope in Oregon, there are some minor differences to the laws in Washington state, but they are good to note.

While you still need an officiant and two witnesses, your witnesses must be 18 +

Fees for your marriage license range from $50-$75
depending on the county.

Oregon also has a 3 day waiting period like Washington.

The license is valid for 60 days

I can also help you navigate finding a place to stay that adds to your elopement vision! My list of saved rentals is endless lol.

With every state I visit and shoot in, comes all that information that my couples are often seeking. After I plan an elopement in a particular area, I always create a guide to eloping in that area and state. You will be well equipped with all you need to know about your elopement location. 

For those of you that come to me and are undecided on your location, it will include what to expect in certain areas of the state, location ideas and regional seasonal conditions.
